For Palworld 1.0, do not rely on old Penking + Bushi Anubis advice. Use a current 1.0 source or the calculator after the full 1.0 matrix is loaded.
Shockbyte lists a current Anubis route using Relaxaurus Lux and Jormuntide Ignis. The local calculator currently shows conservative same-species routing until those parent Pals are added to the data model.
Anubis is popular enough that many outdated pages still rank for it. In Palworld 1.0, start by checking whether the route explicitly references the current breeding table before you commit to capturing or breeding the parents.
This site currently lists verified sample routes and known total-route counts, not the full matrix. If none of the listed parents are practical for your save, use the calculator as a direction finder and wait for the expanded matrix before treating it as complete.
Even when the route changes, the reason to breed Anubis remains strong: it is valuable for base handiwork and can also carry combat progression. A correct 1.0 route is worth the extra verification step.
Anubis is still a top target for breeding because of its handiwork value and combat utility, but Palworld 1.0 changed enough breeding data that older Penking + Bushi style routes should not be reused blindly.
Water/IcePenkingPenking is useful as an early recognizable breeding target and parent candidate, but old Anubis-route claims should be avoided for Palworld 1.0.
